"Something Forgotten" Styleframe 001 (Spring 2021)

In preparation for my senior film pitch, and alongside my character designs and beatboards, I also went ahead and created two styleframes, with this one being the first. This board shows the moment the main character, Samuel, was taken in by the church and right before he had his hair shaved, which was a way to both humiliate and Americanize Native kids, especially in the south. This scene in the moment his life begins to go downhill, and the lighting really emphasizes that, I believe.

"Something Forgotten" Styleframe 002 (Spring 2021)

In preparation for my senior film pitch, and alongside my character designs and beatboards, I also went ahead and created two styleframes, with this one being the second. This board shows the moment where Samuel's grandniece, Aiyana, rushes into his garage and catches him in the process of whittling an m1911 and mock pulling the trigger when it's pressed against his head. This really is the moment in the film where things turn around, as Aiyana then shows him the Turkey Dance, which is a special dance to the Caddo tribe.

Iced VisDev Illustration (Winter 2021)

For my ANIM 272 pipeline class, I illustrated a styleframe/visdev illustration for the purpose of showing what the film was supposed to look like. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out exactly like this, but it still turned out alright in the end.

Unhinged VisDev Illustration (Summer 2020)

While working on my SEQA 224 class, I was tasked with creating an illustration to show what the series would actually look like. Looking back, there were plenty of things I could have done differently, but hindsight is 20/20. I'm a huge sucker for backlighting, as you can probably see from this work and plenty of others.

Art was done in Paint Tool SAI. Initial sketch can be seen below.
